Hey Foy, I got an PM from you on Facebook saying you got mugged in London. I know it wasn't you since a friend of mine got the same scam done to them. Just wanted to give you a heads up (and warn anyone esle hera about the scammer)

Thanks for the head's up. I'm waiting for a reply from Facebook as to how to deal with the situation. I can't believe this is the best scam someone can come up with. Yeah, I'm in London, got mugged, and have no way home, so please send money. I'll buy that for a dollar.

if anyone gets a message like that from me it's probably true, but you still shouldnt send money, i'd just waste it on hookers and blow anyway. . .

it's important to let your embassy know where you are and, of course, not to travel to mexico under any circumstances (just kidding, 10% of mexico is quite safe).
also every american, including me, that i know who has ever actually been mugged or had anything stolen from them had that happen in america. although that would make an equally good facebook plea: 'help, i've been mugged and am temporarily stuck in detroit! please send 50$ or a gun!'
